Connecting an AI tool to Slack does one of two jobs, and they need different products.
The first is bringing the assistant into the conversation: a bot you mention in a channel to summarize a thread, draft a reply or answer from your documents without anyone leaving Slack.
The second is sending things out of other tools into Slack: a notification when a transcript is ready, a design is approved or an automation finishes. Most of the tools here do the second and only some do the first.
The question to settle before installing anything is what the app is allowed to read, since a bot that answers from channel history has to be able to see it. Each listing states its integrations and its privacy terms.

Answering questions about past conversations requires access to channel history. Posting notifications does not. The permission difference is large and worth being deliberate about.
Many workspaces restrict app installation to admins. Confirm the approval path before you plan a rollout around a tool nobody can add.
A hundred-message thread with three side conversations is where thread summarization either works or does not. Demo threads tell you nothing.

Ask another questionChatGPT, Claude, Canva, Cursor, Descript, GitHub Copilot and Grammarly all connect to Slack, in some cases as a bot you can mention and in others to send notifications.
Yes, with an assistant connected to your workspace and permitted to read channel history. That permission is what makes the summary possible, so it has to be granted deliberately.
It depends on the permissions and the vendor terms. A bot that reads history can see everything in those channels, so use business plans that exclude your content from training.
In most workspaces, yes. App installation is commonly restricted to administrators, so plan the approval before rolling a tool out to a team.
